Subject: Any

 

Objective: Reinforce skills and information - fast recall.

 

Materials and Preparation: Write at random on the chalkboard anwers to questions like those to be covered on the upcoming test.

 

Student Grouping: 2 teams, equally balanced

 

The Play:

  • Have the two teams line up single file about 20 feet away from the chalkboard.

  • Announce the question. The first person in line for each team runs up to the board and touches the appropriate answer. A team player may only touch one answer.

  • The first person who touches the right answer earns a point for the team.

  • The winning team has the most points at the end of PAT.

Comments or Variations: Running to the board and spotting the answer may be a real equalizer for those students who are not fast with the answer. This game may be used from kindergarten to high school.
