Everything You Need To Know
About CREDIT From

The University of San Diego

USD has cooperated with Fredric H. Jones & Associates, Inc. since 1996 in providing GRADUATE LEVEL EXTENSION CREDIT for our workshops at a very reasonable price - $50.00 per SEMESTER UNIT. This cost is in addition to the training registration fees and is paid to The University of San Diego.

USD offers TWO SEMESTER UNITS for our 3-day Tools for Teaching course. You are required to attend all three days, and complete and mail a very simple quiz and evaluation form to the USD representative. There is no essay required!

These two units are graded - to receive an A, 90% of the quiz must be correct and it must be postmarked within 7 days of the workshop.

TRANSCRIPTS ARE MAILED BY USD WITHIN 4 WEEKS
Additional transcripts may be requested by mail for $3.00 each.

What you need to know in advance:

  • Does your district accept the credit towards a pay scale if they have paid for the course and the substitute? Will they accept these credits towards professional development requirements? Call your personnel office before the conference.

  • These units are accepted for credential renewal at state departments of education.

  • These units are NOT usually accepted towards a degree program unless prearranged with the university with which you are working.

  • These units are provided as a courtesy only and Fredric H. Jones and Associates receives no compensation from the University of San Diego.

  • You may only apply for credit at the trainings - NO late applications accepted.

  • Payment must be made at the conference to USD by check or credit card.

  • Each semester unit represents 15 hours of graduate level classroom time.

  • The University of San Diego is an accredited, private university.
