Instruction
Tools for Teaching integrates discipline management
with instruction to create a comprehensive picture of
classroom management. Dr. Jones' first described those
aspects of instruction which impacted discipline management
in his previous book, Positive Classroom Instruction.
An updated version of this material comprises the first
half of Tools for Teaching.
Positive Classroom Instruction also contains
a section on staff development in which correct instructional
methodology is applied to staff training. These chapters,
posted below, are most relevant to trainers responsible
for implementing Tools for Teaching at the school
site or district level. They may also serve as enrichment
for the Study
Group Activity Guide, a comprehensive program
for training a faculty to use Tools for Teaching.
